Connecting Third-Party Accounts

Overview

The Connected Accounts section in your settings shows integrations between your StartGlobal account and external services such as bank accounts. You can see the connection status of each linked account, reconnect accounts that require attention, and disconnect accounts you no longer need. This guide walks you through managing your connected accounts.

  • You must be logged in to your StartGlobal dashboard at app.startglobal.co.
  • You should have at least one third-party account linked (such as a bank account set up during formation).
  1. Click your profile avatar (circle with your initials) in the top-right corner of the navbar, then select "Settings" from the dropdown menu.

2. Open the Connected Accounts Tab

  1. Click the "Connected Accounts" tab, described as "Bank accounts and integrations."

    What you will see

    A list of all connected third-party accounts. Each item displays:

    • The service logo (e.g., Mercury, RelayFi).
    • The account name or service name.
    • A status indicator showing either "Connected" or "Reconnection required."

3. Review Account Statuses

  1. Scan the list to check the status of each connected account.

    What you will see

    Accounts with an active connection will show "Connected" in their status. Accounts that need attention will show "Reconnection required."

4. Reconnect an Account

  1. For any account showing "Reconnection required," click on the account or the reconnect option.

    You will be directed to re-authorize the connection with the third-party service. Follow the prompts to re-establish the connection.

    Once reconnected, the status will update to "Connected."

5. Disconnect an Account

  1. Locate the account you want to disconnect and click the "Disconnect" option.

    A confirmation prompt asking you to verify the disconnection.

  2. Confirm the disconnection.

    The account will be removed from your connected accounts list or its status will update to reflect the disconnection.

What Happens Next

  • Connected accounts provide data integration between StartGlobal and your external services.
  • Disconnecting an account will stop data sharing between the platforms.
  • If you reconnect later, you may need to re-authorize access.
  • Any features that depend on the connected account (such as accounting integrations) will be affected by disconnection.

Troubleshooting

No accounts listed in Connected Accounts

You may not have set up any integrations yet. Complete the bank account step in your formation progress first. See Setting Up Your Business Bank Account.

Reconnection fails

Ensure you have valid credentials for the third-party service. Clear your browser cache and try again. If the issue persists, contact support.

Disconnect option not available

Some connections may be managed by the third-party service. Contact support if you need to remove a connection that does not have a disconnect option.

Status stuck on "Reconnection required" after reconnecting

Refresh the page. If the status does not update, wait a few minutes and try again. Contact support if the issue persists.
