Managing Email Addresses

Overview

Your email addresses are used for account authentication, notifications, and business communications. StartGlobal supports a primary contact email (used for login) and secondary contact emails for additional communication. This guide explains how to view your email addresses and manage secondary contacts through the Profile settings.

  • You must be logged in to your StartGlobal dashboard at app.startglobal.co.
  • Have any new email addresses you want to add ready before starting.
  1. Click your profile avatar (circle with your initials) in the top-right corner of the navbar, then select "Settings" from the dropdown menu.

    What you will see

    The Settings page. The Profile tab should be selected by default (described as "Personal information and contacts").

2. View Your Primary Contact Email

  1. Scroll down to the "Primary Contact" section on the Profile page.

    What you will see

    Your primary email address displayed as read-only text. This is the email you used to create your StartGlobal account.

3. View Your Secondary Contacts

  1. Scroll down to the "Secondary Contacts" section.

    What you will see

    A list of any secondary email addresses or contact methods you have previously added.

4. Add a Secondary Contact

  1. In the "Secondary Contacts" section, click the option to add a new contact.

    What you will see

    An input field or form where you can enter a new email address.

  2. Type the new email address and confirm by clicking the save or add button.

    What you will see

    The new email will appear in your secondary contacts list.

5. Remove a Secondary Contact

  1. In the "Secondary Contacts" list, locate the email address you want to remove and click the remove or delete option.

    What you will see

    A confirmation prompt. Confirm the removal.

  2. What you will see

    The email address will be removed from your secondary contacts list.

What Happens Next

  • Secondary contacts may receive copies of certain communications, depending on your notification preferences.
  • Your primary contact remains the main email for account login and critical account notifications.
  • Changes to secondary contacts take effect immediately.

Troubleshooting

Cannot edit primary email

This is by design. Contact support to request a primary email change.

Secondary contact not saving

Ensure the email address format is valid. Check your internet connection and try again.

Removed a contact but it still appears

Refresh the page. If the contact persists, try again or contact support.

Not receiving emails at secondary address

Check the spam or junk folder. Also verify your notification preferences in Managing Notification Preferences.
