How to Verify Your Email Address

Overview

Email verification confirms that you have access to the email address associated with your StartGlobal account. There are two ways you may be asked to verify: through a link sent to your email, or by entering a 6-digit code in a modal after logging in. Both methods are quick and straightforward.

  • You must have a StartGlobal account. If you do not have one, see How to Sign Up for a New Account.
  • Have access to the email inbox associated with your account.

Method 1: Link-Based Verification (from Email)

This method is used when you click a verification link sent to your email, typically after signing up.

  1. Open the verification email from StartGlobal in your inbox.

    Look for the email with a verification link. Check your spam or junk folder if you do not see it.

  2. Click the verification link in the email.

    What you will see

    You will be taken to the verification page, which will display one of the following states:

    State What You Will See
    Verifying A loading spinner while your email is being verified.
    Success The message: "Thank you for verifying your email address. You can now sign in to your account."
    Invalid Link An error message indicating the verification link is invalid or has expired.
    Error A general error message if something went wrong.
  3. If verification is successful, navigate to the login page to sign in. See How to Log In to Your Dashboard.

Method 2: Modal-Based OTP Verification (After Login)

This method appears as a modal (pop-up) after you log in, if your email has not yet been verified.

  1. Log in to your StartGlobal account.

    What you will see

    A verification modal will appear, asking you to enter a 6-digit code.

  2. Check your email inbox for the verification code.

    Look for an email from StartGlobal containing a 6-digit verification code.

  3. Enter the 6-digit code in the modal.

    Type each digit of the code into the input fields provided.

  4. What you will see

    Once all 6 digits are entered, the system will automatically verify the code.

  5. If you did not receive the code or it has expired, click the resend option.

    What you will see

    A countdown timer of 60 seconds before you can request another code. The code is valid for 10 minutes after it is sent.

  6. To close the modal without verifying:

    • Paid users: You can close the modal immediately by clicking the close button.
    • Non-paid users: A close button will appear after 30 seconds.

What Happens Next

  • Your email address will be marked as verified on your account.
  • You will have full access to all dashboard features.
  • You will not be prompted to verify your email again.

Troubleshooting

Verification link shows "Invalid Link."

The link has expired or was already used. Log in to your account to trigger the OTP modal verification instead.

Verification link shows an error.

Try clicking the link again. If the error persists, log in and use the OTP modal method.

The 6-digit code is not accepted.

Make sure you are entering the most recent code sent. Codes expire after 10 minutes. Request a new code if needed.

The resend button is grayed out.

Wait for the 60-second cooldown timer to complete before requesting a new code.

Verification email not arriving.

Check spam/junk folders. Ensure the email address on your account is correct. Wait a few minutes and try resending.

The modal does not appear after login.

Your email may already be verified. Check your account settings to confirm your verification status.
