How to Verify Your Phone Number

Overview

Phone verification adds an extra layer of security to your StartGlobal account. When prompted, you will receive a 6-digit code via SMS to the phone number on your account. You can also update your phone number during the verification process if needed.

Before You Begin

Verifying Your Phone Number

1. What you will see

   A phone verification modal will appear, displaying your phone number in a formatted layout (e.g., +1 (234)-567-8901).

2. Check your phone for the 6-digit verification code sent via SMS.

   Look for a text message from StartGlobal containing a 6-digit code.

3. Enter the 6-digit code in the modal.

   Type each digit of the code into the input fields provided.

4. What you will see

   Once all 6 digits are entered, the system will automatically verify the code and close the modal.

Updating Your Phone Number Before Verifying

If the phone number displayed in the modal is incorrect or you need to change it:

1. Click the option to edit your phone number within the verification modal.

   What you will see

   The phone number field will become editable.

2. Enter your correct phone number.

   Type your phone number starting with the + sign followed by your country code and number. The number must be between 5 and 16 digits long (e.g., +12345678901).

3. Save the updated phone number.

   What you will see

   A new 6-digit verification code will be sent to your updated phone number.

4. Enter the 6-digit code as described in the steps above.

Resending the Verification Code

If you did not receive the code or it has expired:

1. Click the resend option in the verification modal.

   What you will see

   A 60-second countdown timer will appear, indicating when you can request another code.

2. Wait for the countdown to complete if you need to resend again.
3. Check your phone for the new code and enter it.

What Happens Next

• Your phone number will be marked as verified on your account.
• You will not be prompted to verify this phone number again unless you change it.
• Phone verification helps protect your account and may be required for certain actions on the platform.
