Answering the Existing Business Questionnaire

Overview

After selecting "I already have an LLC incorporated in the US" on the signup page, you will be guided through a short 4-question questionnaire. These questions help StartGlobal understand the size and nature of your existing business so we can recommend the right compliance, tax, and business services for you.

Before You Begin

  • You must have selected "I already have an LLC incorporated in the US" on the business type selection screen.
  • Have the following information ready (as noted on the confirmation card): Your LLC Formation Date, Your State Filing Document, Your Registered Agent details.

Step 1: Annual Revenue

What to do: Select the revenue range that best describes your business.

What you will see

The question "How much revenue does your business make in a year?" with a progress indicator showing 1 / 4. Six options are available:

Option When to Choose
< $5,000 Your business earns less than $5,000 per year.
$5,000 - $10,000 Your business earns between $5,000 and $10,000 per year.
$10,000 - $25,000 Your business earns between $10,000 and $25,000 per year.
$25,000 - $50,000 Your business earns between $25,000 and $50,000 per year.
$50,000 - $100,000 Your business earns between $50,000 and $100,000 per year.
$100,000 + Your business earns more than $100,000 per year.

Click your choice -- it will be highlighted in blue. Then click NEXT (with the arrow icon) to proceed.

Step 2: Employee Count

What to do: Select how many employees your business currently has.

What you will see

The question "Do you have any employees?" with a progress indicator showing 2 / 4. Four options are available:

Option When to Choose
Just me You are the sole operator of the business.
1 - 4 You have a small team of 1 to 4 employees.
5 - 9 You have a mid-sized team of 5 to 9 employees.
10 + You have 10 or more employees.

Click your choice, then click NEXT to proceed.

Step 3: Business Type

What to do: Indicate whether this is a side business or your primary income source.

What you will see

The question "Is this a side business or your primary source of income?" with a progress indicator showing 3 / 4. Two options are available:

Option When to Choose
Side business You have another primary source of income and this is a secondary venture.
Primary income This business is your main source of income.

Click your choice, then click NEXT to proceed.

Step 4: Business Experience

What to do: Select your level of experience running a business.

What you will see

The question "How much experience do you have running a business?" with a progress indicator showing 4 / 4. Three options are available:

Option When to Choose
None This is your first time running a business.
Some You have some prior experience with business operations.
Lots You are an experienced business owner or entrepreneur.

Click your choice, then click NEXT to proceed to account creation.

What Happens Next

  • After answering all 4 questions, you will be taken to the account creation page where you will enter your personal details (name, email, password, phone number) to create your StartGlobal account.
  • Once your account is created, you will be guided through an onboarding process specific to existing businesses.

Troubleshooting

The NEXT button is not clickable

Make sure you have selected one of the answer options. The button is disabled until you make a selection.

I accidentally closed the browser

Return to the signup page and start the questionnaire again. Your previous answers are not saved.

I do not have my LLC documents ready

You can still complete the questionnaire and create your account. You will need your LLC documents later during onboarding.
